Combined worm gearboxes - CRI, CRMI

Description

The combination of two worm gear units is, despite its low efficiency, irreplaceable for some applications due to the wide range of possible gear ratios. These are standard RI, RMI series gearboxes connected by a special coupling kit. Composite worm gear units with monolithic housing made of machine cast iron for sizes 85 to 180, for smaller sizes (28 - 70) using the aluminum die-cast method. Thanks to the precise machining of all surfaces, these gearboxes excel in high connection variability. Composite worm gear units CRI, CRMI with arch housing are lightweight and require less installation space. They are available in CRI with full input shaft and CRMI for direct electric motor mounting. The connecting parts (feet, flanges, lids) are separated, making them available in many designs. The ground worm shaft is made of case-hardened and hardened steel. The worm wheel has a cast iron hub with a bronze ring. The friction in the gears is eliminated by the ZI profile, which improves the contact between the tooth surface, operating steam, meters and reduces the operating noise of the gearbox. The standard design is a hollow output shaft, but the gearboxes allow the connection of modular accessories in the form of output shafts and flanges, a second input shaft, torque limiter or torque arm.
